CV

I am a Dorset based photographer with broad commercial experience in addition to my art based photographic practice.  Personal work is often about surface and texture, the passage of time and water across the seen environment; about landscape and unseen human interaction. I am intrigued by the passage of time across the surface of things, and the small detail of landscape often overlooked.

I also specialise in event documentary photography, particularly in the not-for-profit sector, and fine art reproduction for archive and print – but commissioned work includes interiors, landscapes, museum photography and product shoots as well as digital mock-ups and image repair.  I work in both digital and film, and have been known to wade into the sea if that’s what it takes to make the image.

Work is exhibited regularly and I also teach, delivering photography workshops and training from beginner through to AS/A2 level and City & Guilds both privately and within the FE framework.  I am currently developing a traditional, large format, film based portrait practice – ‘Slow Photography’.
